Jiayin Du is an internationally recognised classical ballet educator, former principal-level dancer, and master teacher, with a rare distinction as the only full-time classical ballet instructor to have taught at two elite professional ballet schools in Australia.

Jiayin has trained professional students across all levels in classical ballet, pas de deux, variations, examinations, and performance preparation, and has been responsible for senior male student assessment and VCE Dance outcomes.

Professional Dance Career

Jiayin enjoyed an 11-year full-time professional career with:

• The Australian Ballet (2000–2011)

• Liaoning Ballet Theatre (China)

He performed leading and soloist roles in major classical and contemporary repertoire, including Swan Lake, Giselle, Don Quixote, Romeo & Juliet, La Bayadère, The Sleeping Beauty, and works by Balanchine, Kylián, Forsythe, Robbins, Tetley, Welch, and Duato.
He toured internationally to major theatres including Sydney Opera House, Palais Garnier (Paris), London Coliseum, and Shanghai Grand Theatre.
