Terms & Conditions / School Policies

These Terms & Conditions apply to all students, parents/guardians, and clients of Jiayin MasterClass (“the School”), operating in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia.
By enrolling in any class, program, or activity, parents/guardians and students agree to the following policies.
1. Enrolment & Annual Commitment
1.1 Enrolment at Jiayin MasterClass is for the full academic year, regardless of the date of commencement.
1.2 Students enrolling at any time during the year are required to pay the full annual tuition fee applicable to their grade.
1.3 By enrolling, families commit to the School’s full training program, including classes, assessments, examinations, performances, and compulsory activities.
1.4 Jiayin MasterClass reserves the right to refuse or discontinue enrolment where it is deemed not in the best interests of the student or the School.
2. Tuition Fees & Payment Structure
2.1 Melbourne Headquarter
Tuition fees are charged by the year.
2.2 Sydney Studio
Tuition fees may be invoiced by term; however, enrolment remains a full-year commitment, and the total annual fee applies.
2.3 Tuition fees are determined by the student’s grade and program level.
2.4 All fees must be paid by the due date stated on the invoice.
2.5 Tuition fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
2.6 Late or overdue payments may result in administrative action, including suspension of classes until payment is received.
3. Absences, Leave & Make-Up Policy
3.1 Guardians must notify School administration in advance of any student absence or leave to ensure student safety and attendance monitoring.
3.2 No refunds, credits, or fee reductions are provided for missed classes due to illness, holidays, injury, late enrolment, competitions, workshops, or personal commitments.
3.3 Missed lessons are offered only in the following forms:
Private lessons at a 7:1 ratio (seven missed group classes equal one private lesson), and/or
Extra group lessons by joining parallel classes of the same or similar level, subject to availability.
3.4 Make-up lessons:
Must be scheduled through School administration
Must be taken within the same academic year
Are subject to teacher and studio availability
Are not transferable and have no cash value
4. Class Structure, Changes & Cancellations
4.1 Jiayin MasterClass reserves the right to adjust timetables, teachers, venues, class formats, or class structure as required.
4.2 Classes may be merged, rescheduled, or cancelled due to enrolment numbers, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances.
4.3 Where possible, reasonable notice will be provided.
5. Withdrawal & Early Termination
5.1 As enrolment is for the full academic year, early withdrawal does not release families from financial obligations for the year.
5.2 A minimum of one full term’s written notice is required should a family wish to discontinue enrolment for the following academic year.
5.3 Written notice must be submitted via email to School administration.
5.4 Non-attendance does not constitute withdrawal.
6. Communication Protocol (Mandatory)
6.1 Students and guardians must not contact artistic or academic teaching staff privately via personal phone, email, or social media.
6.2 All communication must be conducted exclusively between the student’s guardian and School administration.
6.3 Teachers will not respond to private messages from students or guardians.
6.4 Failure to follow this protocol may result in disciplinary action.
7. Uniform, Grooming & Class Etiquette
7.1 Students must attend all classes in the official Jiayin MasterClass uniform, with hair styled according to ballet training standards.
7.2 Jewellery is not permitted in class for safety reasons.
7.3 Students are expected to arrive punctually and behave respectfully at all times.
7.4 The School reserves the right to remove a student from class where dress code or behaviour expectations are not met.
8. Studio Rules, Cleanliness & Property Care
8.1 No food or beverages (other than water) are permitted inside the studio.
8.2 Students must dispose of all rubbish only in designated bins.
8.3 No littering is permitted inside or outside studio premises.
8.4 Before leaving the studio, students must:
Check they have disposed of all rubbish
Ensure all personal belongings have been collected
8.5 Failure to comply may result in warnings or disciplinary action.
9. RAD Examinations & School Showcase (Compulsory)
9.1 All eligible students are required to attend and participate in RAD examinations.
9.2 Participation in the Jiayin MasterClass School Showcase is compulsory for all students unless otherwise approved by the School.
9.3 Additional fees apply for examinations, costumes, theatre hire, coaching, and performance administration.
9.4 All examination and performance-related fees are non-refundable once registrations or orders are confirmed.
10. Competitions (Approved & Managed by the School)
10.1 Jiayin MasterClass encourages students to participate in competitions as part of artistic development.
10.2 Students may only participate in competitions approved and listed by Jiayin MasterClass.
10.3 Eligibility to compete is subject to the Director’s approval, based on student development, attendance, wellbeing, reputation, and consistency.
10.4 All competition registrations for current students must be processed by Jiayin MasterClass administration.
10.5 The School may refuse or withdraw a student from any competition or event where participation is not in the student’s or School’s best interests.
11. External Workshops & Training
11.1 Students wishing to attend external workshops, intensives, or training programs must obtain prior written approval from the Director.
11.2 Failure to obtain approval may result in termination of enrolment without refund, at the School’s discretion.
11.3 The School reserves the right to restrict participation in external events to protect training quality, student wellbeing, and School reputation.
12. Exchange Programs & Special Opportunities
12.1 Jiayin MasterClass may organise domestic or international exchange programs.
12.2 Current Jiayin MasterClass students receive priority access and exclusive discounts.
12.3 Participation is subject to eligibility, Director approval, availability, and additional costs.
13. Social Media Representation
13.1 Students and/or guardians who maintain dance-related social media profiles must accurately represent themselves as Jiayin MasterClass students.
13.2 When posting photos or videos taken during training, performances, competitions, or School events, posts must:
Clearly mention Jiayin MasterClass, and
Tag the official account @jiayinmasterclass
13.3 Misrepresentation or failure to credit the School may result in disciplinary action.
14. Photography, Filming & Media Consent (Mandatory)
14.1 By enrolling at Jiayin MasterClass, all parents/guardians provide full and unconditional consent for the School to photograph and film students.
14.2 Images and recordings may be used for educational, archival, and promotional purposes, including websites, social media, and marketing materials.
14.3 No individual opt-out applies unless required by law.
14.4 Personal filming or photography during class is not permitted without prior written approval.
15. Health, Safety & Injury
15.1 Parents/guardians must disclose all medical conditions, injuries, allergies, or special needs at enrolment and update the School as required.
15.2 Students participate in all activities at their own risk.
15.3 Jiayin MasterClass is not liable for injuries sustained during classes, rehearsals, performances, competitions, workshops, or exchange programs, except where required by law.
16. Child Safety & Supervision
16.1 Jiayin MasterClass complies with Victorian and NSW Child Safe Standards.
16.2 Teachers are responsible for students only during scheduled class times.
16.3 Parents/guardians are responsible for supervision before and after classes and events.
17. Personal Property
Jiayin MasterClass is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
18. Privacy
Jiayin MasterClass complies with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
19. Force Majeure
Jiayin MasterClass is not liable for disruptions caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
20. Amendments
Jiayin MasterClass reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be communicated via official School channels.
21. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and applicable Commonwealth legislation.
22. Acceptance
By enrolling at Jiayin MasterClass, parents/guardians and students confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
