Andrea Wong
Dancer, Educator, and Administrator
Born in Hong Kong, Andrea received rigorous training in the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) system at the age of seven at the Jean M. Wong Ballet School, thereby laying a solid foundation in classical ballet. At seventeen, she moved to Tasmania, Australia, and, after completing high school, to Melbourne to begin her full-time dance career.
In 2006, she obtained a Classical Ballet Diploma from Dance World Studio in Melbourne, simultaneously completing her Advanced 2 RAD Certificate. The following year, she furthered her studies, earning a Diploma in Performing Arts. During her time in Australia, Andrea was active both on stage and in teaching, instructing in various schools and frequently participating in commercial performances. Her relentless pursuit of art led her to the University of Melbourne, where she earned a Bachelor of Dance in 2012.
Andrea's talents extend beyond the stage. She also possesses a keen business sense, holding positions in marketing, business development, and promotion in several large companies, demonstrating exceptional management and planning abilities. In 2021, she earned a Master of Business Administration from RMIT University, showing a seamless integration of art and business studies.
She has always adhered to the famous quote by CoCo Chanel, inspiring her students with it:
"To be irreplaceable, one must be different."
From classical ballet to stage performance, from dance education to business management, Andrea has shaped a distinctive professional trajectory through ongoing advanced study and cross-disciplinary practice. She is not only a dancer and teacher, but also a lifelong learner who integrates creativity and strategic thinking.
