Jiayin Du is an internationally recognised classical ballet educator, former principal-level dancer, and master teacher, with a rare distinction as the only full-time classical ballet instructor to have taught at two elite professional ballet schools in Australia.

Jiayin has trained professional students across all levels in classical ballet, pas de deux, variations, examinations, and performance preparation, and has been responsible for senior male student assessment and VCE Dance outcomes.

Professional Dance Career
Jiayin enjoyed an 11-year full-time professional career with The Australian Ballet (2000-2011) and Liaoning Ballet Theatre (China).
He performed leading and soloist roles in major classical and contemporary repertoire, including Swan Lake, Giselle, Don Quixote, Romeo & Juliet, La Bayadère, The Sleeping Beauty, and works by Balanchine, Kylián, Forsythe, Robbins, Tetley, Welch, and Duato.
He toured internationally to major theatres including Sydney Opera House, Palais Garnier (Paris), London Coliseum, and Shanghai Grand Theatre.

Jiayin is proud to have coached prize winners and scholarship holders of Prix de Lausanne, Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), and the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD).
His former students now dance with The Australian Ballet, Queensland Ballet, The Royal Ballet, Ballet de l’Opéra de Paris, Sydney Dance Company, Singapore Ballet, and more.
Guest Teaching & International Work
Jiayin has been invited as a guest teacher and ballet master by leading institutions, including Shanghai Theatre Academy Ballet School, Shanghai Grand Theatre, the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet, and Victorian State Ballet.
In 2022, he served as Balletmaster, Rehearsal Director and Executive Choreographer for the full-length ballet The White Snake at Shanghai Grand Theatre.
Jiayin MasterClass
Founded in 2011, Jiayin MasterClass has trained hundreds of students from early childhood to pre-professional level. As Founder and Director, Jiayin leads a multinational faculty delivering systematic classical ballet training and elite pathways for the next generation.
